Over the years I have volunteered at CRAB, I have made many new friends, run into old friends, and gotten to take Tim McGee and my brother Walter out on the water. Both are stroke victims. Tim and I sailed this spring in a Recovering Warriors Regatta. Tim is unable to sail in The CRAB CUP due to the amount of time we spend on the water and the heat. But with the help of friends, Jasper and Becky and their boat, he watched us race and win our division in last years CRAB CUP.
Sadly, this year I will not be sailing in the event, due to a family obligation. I do want to continue winning the fundraising. With your support our team has finished first or second for the last five years. Fundraising is another competitive part (and more important ) than the actual race for The CRAB CUP.
Since opening the premier Adaptive Boating Center in 2023, CRAB has grown significantly. Guests continue to gain confidence in their abilities as they learn to sail while CRAB has greatly expanded its capacity for more guests. This year, CRAB aims to serve more guests than ever before. Your support makes that ambitious goal possible.
This clearly demonstrates the CRAB's commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for people of all abilities. CRAB and the ABC strive to ensure that all its guests feel welcome and comfortable.
