I don't usually promote charitable organizations, but this one here in Annapolis is one of a kind in the country and makes a big difference to vets and others with disabilities. Hope you can help, Rick

Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) was founded on the principle that people with disabilities can and should be able to live fulfilling and joyful lives and have equitable access to meaningful, therapeutic sailing.

Since opening the premier Adaptive Boating Center in 2023, CRAB has grown significantly. Guests continue to gain confidence in their abilities as they learn to sail while CRAB has greatly expanded its capacity for more guests. Dream Catcher, CRAB’s 40’ power catamaran, provides guests the option to enjoy the water without leaving the comfort of their wheelchair. Wellness programs are held all year so guests can remain active, creative, and social while enjoying a fully accessible environment.

This clearly demonstrates the CRAB's commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for people of all abilities. CRAB and the ABC strive to ensure that all its guests feel welcome and comfortable during their time there. The ABC is a shining example of how a modern facility can be designed to be accessible and inclusive for all people.
