Twenty-eight years ago, Don Backe invited me (a disabled individual) to go sailing with Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB). Every year since then, I have been looking forward to the first sail of the year, which starts in April, and all subsequent events. The CRAB events include Family sails, the Don Backe Regatta, which is a series of four races in one day, CRAB cup and more recently, The Skipper's Challenge.
The Skipper's Challenge is an opportunity for you to help me raise money for CRAB. By raising money for CRAB, I want to give all people, especially those with disabilities, the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of getting on the water and enjoying a sail.
