Help me in my quest to support CRAB, the premier adaptive boating center in the US.
Located in Annapolis, MD, CRAB offers persons with all types of disabilities across all ages the opportunity to experience the freedom and exhilaration of sailing, which seemed impossible before.

My husband Cal Strachan was an avid sailor. We met at the New Castle Sailing Club in Delaware. After 11 years of sailing and racing Thistles we married bought a 31 foot Tartan and sailed the Chesapeake Bay. Unfortunately he developed a rare unknown, undiagnosed neurological disorder. He ultimately became totally wheelchair bound and unable to sit independently. His quality of life was poor. In pursuit of opportunities to improve his quality of life I discovered CRAB. He went sailing with CRAB on September 21,2023. It was absolutely life changing for him. He was excited to be alive and out on the water. He became more socially engaged and willing to go out and experience life! Unfortunately Cal passed January 16, 2024. CRAB gave him the chance to have the best quality of life possible and to once more experience his passion of sailing. That's all we can ask for. CRAB changed our lives. I want to be part of this organization and carry forward the opportunity that Cal had on to others. Join me in supporting CRAB
