Hello Friends & Family,
It is that time of year again for Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating’s 2023 CRAB Cup! I am once again sponsoring a CRAB Cup Team -- “Steve Ritterbush Racing Team” -- and I hope you will support my fundraising effort for this incredible organization.
For the first time, I will be racing in the CRAB Cup on a CRAB Beneteau First 22A, with my son and CRAB volunteer, Alex, on the boat, as well as my dear friend and fellow CRAB Board Member, Will Crump. Watch out fellow racers!!!
Given my disability, it's no wonder I am so passionate about CRAB's mission - providing the therapeutic benefits of sailing to people with disabilities, recovering warriors, and youth from underserved communities. The smiles on the faces of our guests say it all!
In April, the new Adaptive Boating Center on Back Creek in Annapolis opened. This was made possible by a very successful Capital Campaign, where we were able to raise more than $5 million, coming close to delivering a nearly debt-free facility. We are now very excited to expand CRAB programs to serve even more incredible guests. Exciting times are ahead for CRAB!
Monies raised in the CRAB Cup go toward covering our annual operating expenses. Please help me in reaching my fundraising goal for the CRAB Cup (August 19, 2023) - where 100% of every donation goes directly to support the programs for this great organization, and helps to keep them free for our more than 1,000 guest sailors every year.
